Fujikura Golf Shaft was the choice of shaft for the British Open Champions

Fujikura Motore Speeder Was the Driver Shaft of Choice for the Winner of the 2012 British Open Champion

The Fujikura Motore Speeder VC.2 was the shaft of choice at the 141st Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes. It was a battle to the finish and it ended in true Major Championship fashion. The winner managed to overcome a 6 shot deficit on the final day of play to finish 7 under, 273 solidifying his 4th Major Championship. This year, his driving distance has averaged over 292 yards and he averages to hit over 66% of greens in regulation.

"This was one of the most exciting finishes I can remember for a Major Championship and I was very glad to see him win the tournament," says Pat McCoy, Director of Technical Services. "For him to trust Fujikura, for as long as he has is a true testament of our brand and the products we develop for players of all skill levels."

The Motore Speeder features Fujikura's proprietary and proven Triax Woven material along
with Quadra Axis Composite creating a 7-axis Technology. The uniformity throughout the shaft
assists with eliminating deformation yet providing the maximum amount of feel through the
entire swing, increasing overall performance and stability.

British Open just proves that golf is a great game! Congratulation Ernie!

It was an exciting finish.  Whether Ernie or Scott, it was a great championship.  Lot of nerves, perseverance, courage and execution.

Was it Ernie Els that pulled it off or did Adam Scott lose it?  Probably it was both.

Great Adam Scott post interview at theopen.com!
He is only 32 years old and has many more great years to come!
I like when he names Greg Norman as his role model at times of victory and defeat.
I am sure all the kids who have watched the tournament will pick either Ernie or Adam as their role model and will act like them at moments in life in the years to come!

Golf.com has great pics of Ernie's equipment at the British Open:

It's time for the British Open! New Callaway X Utility club?

July is the month for the 3rd major of the year!
The British Open

Key to winning the British Open would be how to manage bunkers, wind and tee shot.

I have not had a chance to play a British Open course but it seems like there needs to be more shot imagination, distance and trajectory control when playing a Open course.

Looks like the players are going to face some showers during the first 2 days and will clear up towards the weekend.

I was looking at Callaway's google+ page and they have information posted regarding the X Utility iron that many players will be using to tackle the course at the British Open:

Have no information at the moment but looks like a compact iron like hybrid to play those stinger type of shots!

Fairway Golf USA has limited edition products from Nike commemorating the 3rd major of the year!

Have a great British Open week!
